There are also daily specials to choose from. This is a popular spot with locals and is becoming more popular with visitors. The food is always good, friendly service and a delightful setting overlooking the golf course. To ensure a table especially in holiday time it is best to book.

  Ordered a dish without the chili that was mentioned on the menu. Request was cheerfully accepted and noted on the waitress's hand written order. Meal was delivered with chili despite... read more our request. It was sent back and an alternative meal ordered. An indignant chef then appeared at our table to advise that we would still need to pay for the alternative selection (having already paid for the incorrectly supplied dish). Our group host has had the same meal chili-free several times previously without incident, and Chef's response was that she has 'always done it this way' and we "should have known as it was noted on the menu' - No mention of the specific request appearing on the waitress's order.
Note to Chef : Hostile confrontation with a wronged customer never works, particularly in front of other customers. Your arrogant and unjustified display has not only lost you desserts, drinks and coffees for our table of 4, but also a 20-seat group booking in February, which was the reason for our advance visit. I would think this petulant stance has cost your restaurant somewhere around $1000, let alone the adverse word-of-mouth criticism which will be half way around Inverloch by now. We all have bad days, but your diplomacy and attitude could use some work. See if you can spot the errors and consequences in the way this was handled - I count 3, but you may be able to identify more. Did I mention we won't be back?

  I have lunched at this Cafe on many occasions. The food is consistently good. On a fine day it is a delight to dine on the verandah which is beautifully... read more decorated with flowers in pots and other interesting objects to look at. The staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient. The deserts are to die for if you still are able to partake after the substantial main courses. I think by now I have tried everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.

We were there on a warm morning, so it was very pleasant outside on the deck but they have the ability to enclose the outdoor area so it would be equally as nice in colder weather. The view looking out on the grassed areas was lovely - they also had some tables and umbrellas out there and there was plenty of room for the kids to go and have a run. We'll definitely return.
